Pedal past monasteries and alongside paddy fields to spend a night in a rural Thailand resort.
Day 3 Cycle to Sa Keaw
Inhale the fragrance from eucalyptus plantations as the ride continues over rolling hills towards Sa Keaw. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop and chat with the friendly locals.
Day 4 Cycle to Aranyaprathet
Ride towards the Pang Sida National Park and be rewarded with the chance to swim in the waters of a jungle-fringed reservoir. Refreshed, jump back in the saddle and take the scenic route to Aranyaprathet.
Day 5 Siem Reap
Cross into Cambodia and make tracks for Siem Reap.
Days 6-7 Angkor
Walk along shady avenues between the incredible temples of Angkor. Visit the vine-covered Ta Prohm, see the smiling faces of the Bayon and marvel at the magnificent Angkor Wat. The next day, cycle through pretty villages to the temple of Banteay Srei and visit Tonle Sap for an optional boat trip to see the floating fishing villages.
Days 8-9 Phnom Penh
Catch a bus to Phnom Penh and stop along the way at Skuon, which is known for its local delicacy of fried spiders. In the capital, hear about Cambodia's tragic history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields. Later, tour the Royal Palace with its Silver Pagoda and perhaps hunt for a bargain at the Russian Market.
Day 10 Chau Doc
Travel to Vietnam and spend the night in Chau Doc.
Day 11 Mekong Delta
Take a ferry and boat to reach an idyllic island homestay on the Mekong Delta, known as the 'rice bowl of Vietnam'.
Day 12 Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City
Stop by the floating markets. Ride through orchards and along the bank of the Mekong to Ho Chi Minh City, where scooters pack the streets and temples stand defiantly alongside modern developments.
Days 13-14 Ho Chi Minh City
End your Cycle Indochina and Angkor experience by spending time discovering the many attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. Perhaps visit Notre Dame Cathedral, see the Reunification Palace or pick up a souvenir at the markets. A trip underground to the cramped Cu Chi Tunnels is also a fascinating experience.
