Atlas Descent

Day 1 Agadir

Salaam Aleikum! Begin the Moroccan adventure Agadir, a city known for its beaches on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Arrive early to explore the dynamic, modern atmosphere.

Day 2 Tafraoute

Drive across the plains of the Souss Valley and climb into the heart of the Anti Atlas range towards the high mountain Pass of Tizi Mill. Descend through a rocky landscape to Aguerd Oudad and head through a boulder strewn landscape to reach the famous painted rocks, a piece of art in the middle of the desert that colours the land itself with 18 tonnes of paint.

Day 3 Tafraoute

Travel to Ait Monsour and ride through impressive gorges and lush palmeries. Follow dry riverbeds through quaint villages and take in refreshing scenery that contrasts starkly to the desert of yesterday. Finish the day with a home-cooked meal and a carpet demonstration.

Day 4 Tafraoute

Cycle to Tizi Tasrite and take in stunning vistas of the areas that have been explored throughout the trip so far. Journey through the plains and oases of Tafraote and keep an eye out for gazelle grazing amongst the boulders. In the evening explore the township or simply relax by the hotel pool.

Day 5 Tiznit

Ride southwest through a number of traditional Moroccan villages en route to Anezi and wind through a scenic valley and riverbed crossings. Arrive at Tiznit, an old walled medina town that is well known for its shining silver markets. Perhaps try a traditional hammam (steam bath) to relax those cycling muscles.

Day 6 Immouzer

Enjoy a change of scenery and cycle through pine and cedar forests to remote, untouched Berber villages. See mud houses perched under cliff edges before reaching a spectacular gorge, where it is time to stop for lunch and take in the scenery.

Day 7 Agadir

Cruise down a spectacular descent to the coast, enjoying some eye-popping mountain vistas along the way. Be rewarded with a swim in the cool waters or a lazy stroll on the beach.

Day 8 Agadir

Enjoy a final breakfast before returning to Agadir and saying farewell to new found friends.
