2012 - Your Journey starts Beijing, ends Guilin

DAYS 1-3 - BEIJING & OVERNIGHT TRAIN
On arrival in Beijing, transfer to your hotel. Be awestruck by the incredible expanse of Tiananmen Square before continuing on foot to the splendid Forbidden City. Head into one of Beijing’s few remaining hutongs, or back streets, for lunch in a local home and a fun rickshaw ride. See the city’s iconic Drum Tower and then witness an incredible acrobatic performance. Journey to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and take the chance to dine on a lavish Peking Duck dinner before boarding a comfortable overnight train to Xian.

DAY 4 - XIAN
Wander through the beguiling Muslim Quarter and stop at the Big Goose Pagoda. In the evening you might like to indulge in a sumptuous dumpling banquet.

DAYS 5-8 - GUILIN & YANGSHUO
Marvel at the overwhelming number of intricately detailed Terracotta Warriors and then fly to Guilin, one of China’s most attractive cities. Stroll along the peaceful riverfront and amble through the night market before you cruise slowly along the Li River to soak up the region’s renowned limestone karst scenery. In charming Yangshuo take part in a Tai Chi lesson, take in a traditional evening show and explore local villages by bicycle. Return to Guilin for free time before your departure transfer.
