Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Casablanca

Arrive in Casablanca at anytime. Depending on when you arrive, enjoy this beautiful city at your own leisure. With its art deco buildings, french colonial buildings, the Old medina and its great restaurants and entertainment, there is plenty to keep one busy in the city.

Day 2 Rabat, Meknes, Volubilis, Fes (B)

Estimated Travel Time: 7 hours



Sightseeing in Rabat, including the Mohamed V mausoleum and the Hassan Tower, the exteriors of the Royal Palace and the Chellah Gardens. Continuation to Volubilis for a visit of the Roman ruins and to Meknès for sightseeing including the Granaries and the Moulay Ismael stables and the magnificent Bab Mansour and on to Fès for overnight.

Day 3 Fez (B)

Full day sightseeing in Fès, including the exteriors of the Royal Palace and the medina (old city); its various quarters for tanneries, dyers, leatherwork, brass, gold & silver etc. and the Medersa Bou Inanya. Overnight.

Day 4 Erfoud, Merzouga (B,D)

Estimated Travel Time: 7 hours

Full day transfer over the Middle Atlas mountains with its cedar forests and through the ski station of Ifrane into the desert regions, through the vast palm groves of the Ziz Valley and right up to the majestic sand dunes – all in one day! Dinner and overnight in a simple auberge.

Day 5 Todgha Gorges, Tinghir, Boumalne (B,D)

Morning sunrise excursion in 4 x 4 vehicles to the highest dunes in Morocco; continuation through a stone desert to the superb Todgha Gorges followed by a visit to the Tineghir palm grove. Continuation to Boumalne du Dadès for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Dades Gorges, Ouazazate, Ait Ben Haddou (B,D)

Short visit of the beginning of the Dadès Gorges and then along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” in the lush and verdant Dadès Valley to Ouarzazate, a former Foreign Legion stronghold, for a visit of the Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios outside the town (if no production going on); continuation to the village of Aït Ben Haddou for a visit of the famous Kasbah, a Unesco world heritage and a site of many film productions. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 Marrakech (B)

Estimated Travel Time: 4 hours


Transfer to Marrakech through the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2 200m in the High Atlas mountains, on winding mountain roads with breathtaking views over the highest peaks of Morocco. Arrival in Marrakech by the end of the morning, lunch and pm visit to the extensive and crowded souks and the famous Jemaa El Fna Square with its acrobats, fortune tellers, story tellers, snake charmers and much more … Overnight.

Day 8 Marrakech (B,D)

Morning historical visit of Marrakech, including the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia minaret. Pm at leisure, possibility of visiting the Terre des Jeunes Marrakech project. Dinner at one of the foodstalls in the Square and overnight.
